Canon TS5365 Error Codes Explained

  • 5B00 – waste ink absorber full
  • 1700 – ink absorber almost full
  • 5B02 — service error; confirm its meaning and required action in the manual for this model.

These are common Canon code examples. Check their meaning in the manual for Canon TS5365; a warning may indicate an approaching limit, while a service error can have a different cause. A counter reading does not confirm the physical condition of the absorber.

If the exact profile offers the required reset, the operation can take about a minute after preparation. Keep USB and power stable and verify the final counter reading.

Read, reset and verify Canon TS5365

  1. Use the USB connection and the model-specific service mode requested by WICRESETPRO. Wait for stable detection before continuing.
  2. Read the available waste ink counters in WICRESETPRO and wait for a completed result. A missing reading is not a zero reading.
  3. Waste ink counter reset is supported for this model. Select that operation and follow its preparation instructions in the app.
  4. For a supported full reset, enter your valid Pro reset key and start the operation. Keep the connection stable until the app reports the result.
  5. Restart only when instructed, then read the counters again in Pro to verify the outcome.

Once a supported printer is connected and ready, the reset itself can take about a minute. Installation and preparation can take longer.

Resetting a counter does not replace physical absorber maintenance.

Your reset key

Unused keys do not expire. After the first reset, you can reuse the key on the same printer for 24 hours. Unused units in a Multi-Key pool do not all expire when that printer’s reuse period ends.

Choose one Multi-Key with the purchased pool or the corresponding number of separate codes. Check the current product, price and currency in the store.

Questions and answers

Why is my Canon TS5365 showing 5B00?

It means the waste ink absorber counter is full.

Can I reset the counter at home?

Use the available operation for the exact Canon TS5365 profile. Basic waste ink counter reset is supported. Follow the selected reset procedure; maintenance tools and firmware-specific options have their own requirements.

Is service mode required?

Use the mode required by the chosen Canon TS5365 operation. WICRESETPRO provides its preparation instructions when service mode is needed. Do not copy the button sequence of a different model.

Will the printer start printing right after the reset?

After the operation, follow any requested restart and read the result again. A corrected counter can clear its associated service condition; an unrelated paper, ink, head or hardware fault needs its own diagnosis.

What operating system is needed?

WICRESETPRO works on Windows.
