How to use this Canon service mode guide

Every Canon series uses a slightly different sequence of buttons. In most cases you hold the MOČ button and press the RESET, STOP ali HOME button a specific number of times. Follow the instructions exactly – if the printer does not enter service mode, switch it off completely, unplug the power cord for 10–15 seconds and try again.

Canon – E, G, IB, MB, TS, TR series

This is one of the most common Canon methods of entering service mode for E, G, IB, MB, TS and TR printers.

1. Izklopite tiskalnik Canon.
2. Pritisnite in držite tipko tiskalnika RESET gumb.
3. While holding RESET, press and hold the MOČ button (wait for the printer to turn on).
4. Release the RESET button but keep holding the MOČ gumb.
5. While still holding POWER, press and release the RESET button 5-krat.
6. After the 5th press, wait a moment and then release the MOČ button. The printer should now be in service mode.

Canon – MG series

Use this procedure for most Canon MG printers when you need to enter service mode to reset the waste ink counter.

1. Izklopite tiskalnik Canon.
2. Pritisnite in pridržite RESET gumb.
3. While holding RESET, press and hold the MOČ button (wait for the printer to power on).
4. Release the RESET button but keep holding the MOČ gumb.
5. While still holding POWER, press and release the RESET button 6 krat. For models without scanner, also press it 6 times.
6. After the last press, wait a moment and then release the MOČ button – the printer should enter service mode.

Canon – MP series

Many Canon MP printers use the following combination to enter service mode.

1. Izklopite tiskalnik Canon.
2. Pritisnite in pridržite RESET gumb.
3. While holding RESET, press and hold the MOČ button (wait for the printer to turn on).
4. Release the RESET button but continue to hold the MOČ gumb.
5. While holding POWER, press and release the RESET button the required number of times: usually 2 times, and for some models without scanner 6 krat.
6. After pressing RESET the correct number of times, wait a moment and then release the MOČ button – the printer should be in service mode.

Canon – G4010 / G4210 / G4410 / G4411

1. Izklopite tiskalnik Canon.
2. Pritisnite in pridržite RESET gumb.
3. While holding RESET, press and hold the MOČ button (wait for the printer to turn on).
4. Release the RESET button but keep holding the MOČ gumb.
5. While holding POWER, press and release the RESET button 6 krat (for printers without scanner also 6 times).
6. After the 6th press, wait a moment before releasing the MOČ gumb.

Canon – G1411 / G2411 / G3411

1. Izklopite tiskalnik Canon.
2. Pritisnite in pridržite “+” (plus) gumb.
3. While holding the “+” button, press and hold the MOČ button (wait for the printer to turn on).
4. Release the “+” button but keep holding the MOČ gumb.
5. While still holding POWER, press and release the RESET button 5-krat.
6. After the 5th press, wait a moment and then release the MOČ button – the printer should be in service mode.

Canon – iP3600 series, iP4600 series, MP240 series, MP550 series

1. Izklopite tiskalnik Canon.
2. Pritisnite in pridržite RESET gumb.
3. While holding RESET, press and hold the MOČ button (wait for the printer to turn on).
4. Release the RESET button but keep holding the MOČ gumb.
5. While still holding POWER, press and release the RESET button 2 times.
6. After the 2nd press, wait a moment and then release the MOČ button – the printer should enter service mode.

If your printer has a touchscreen, hold down the area on the screen where the Resume/Cancel button is usually shown instead of a physical button.

Canon – iP2700 series, iP4800 series, MG5100 series

1. Izklopite tiskalnik Canon.
2. Pritisnite in pridržite RESET gumb.
3. While holding RESET, press and hold the MOČ button (wait for the printer to turn on).
4. Release the RESET button but continue holding the MOČ gumb.
5. While still holding POWER, press and release the RESET button 5-krat.
6. After the 5th press, wait a moment and then release the MOČ button – the printer should be in service mode.

For printers with touchscreens, hold down the part of the screen where the Resume/Cancel button usually appears.

Canon – MG8150

1. Turn off the printer.
2. Pritisnite in pridržite Cancel button (on touch models hold the area on the screen where the Resume/Cancel button is displayed).
3. Pritisnite in pridržite Power gumb.
4. Release the Cancel (or Resume) button but keep holding the Power gumb.
5. Wait 5–10 seconds, then press the Cancel button 5-krat.
6. Release the Power button – the printer should now be in service mode.

Canon – TS8000 series

TS8010, TS8020, TS8040, TS8050, TS8030, TS8052, TS8053, TS8060, TS8070

1. Turn off the printer.
2. Pritisnite in pridržite HOME button (on touchscreens hold the area in the upper left corner of the display).
3. While holding HOME, press and hold the Power gumb.
4. Release the HOME button but keep holding the Power gumb.
5. Press the Cancel button (upper right corner) 5-krat.
6. Release the Power button – the printer should enter service mode.

Canon – TS9100 series

TS9100, TS9110, TS9120, TS9140, TS9150, TS9155, TS9160, TS9170

1. Turn off the printer.
2. Pritisnite in pridržite HOME button (on touch models hold the top left corner of the screen).
3. While holding HOME, press and hold the Power gumb.
4. Release the HOME button but keep holding Power.
5. Press the Cancel button 6 krat.
6. Release the Power button – the printer should now be in Canon service mode.

Can WIC Reset Connect fix Canon error 5B00 / 1700?
